Road Maintenance

Every spring and summer the Trails Club clears and maintains upper Palmer Mill Road and the Multnomah Basin Road. Members remove blowdown, clear clogged sluices and trim back Salmonberry and Devil’s Club. While the road is the club’s access by vehicle to the lodge, it also used by Multnomah County Search and Rescue for training and actual rescues, by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and the US Forest Service, as well as many cyclists, hikers, dog walkers and mushroom hunters.

The club has also repaired, and repaired again, several bridges, including the large bridge across Multnomah Creek.
